We are former organic winegrowers from the United Kingdom who settled in 2018, together with my wife Irmgard, in the beautiful and impressive Black Forest region of Germany. We met in 1981 in a disco in Karlsruhe, where I was teaching English.

After retiring, we travelled extensively, including to Malaysia, Thailand, Tasmania, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and Tenerife (Spain).

We enjoy walking, cycling, and swimming, as well as good food. I have followed a vegetarian diet for over 40 years. Our new home is energy-efficient and built using sustainable timber construction.
